I wouldn't give this Wendy's location any stars if Yelp would let me. The employees and manager are rude and get attitudes. Some employees won't speak at all when giving You Your food. When they get Your order wrong it is Your fault and never theirs. Even though They were the ones that screwed up. I will never go back to this Wendy's location

This place is staffed with workers who simply don't want to be there. The woman taking the orders last night around 5:15PM couldn't of possible moved any slower. When I showed up I was the third person in line and it took at least 15 minutes before she even took my order.

I once had a good friend that was the manager of this Wendy's. I'm not sure if he's still the manager, but he was awesome, polite, and courteous. He had told me that this is the busiest Wendy's in the whole country. Yup, pretty incredible, until you figure that the UM students probably come here a lot, as well as some of the shoppers and employees at Sunset Place, people getting on/off the metrorail...and suddenly, it makes sense. I hadn't been to this location in years, but came on Wednesday. The gentleman behind the register was incredibly polite and patient. I wish I had gotten his name, just so that he can be recognized for his exceptional service. When my daughter wanted to switch drinks, he happily did so, and even gave her a new cup. I do want to mention that panhandling may be an issue here (at least it was on my visit on Wednesday), because of its proximity to the metrorail. While I do not mind treating people to a meal, and have offered and done so several times, this man was very rude in the way he declined the offer and demanded money. He came up to me at least 3 different times within 15 minutes, and it got to the point where I consider this a form of obnoxious harassment. Because of this, you may want to consider the drive-thru lane, although I would not be surprised if he has also tried approaching vehicles in the drive-thru as well. One of the employees said that they cannot stop the harassment or kick panhandlers out of the store unless they open a bottle of alcohol, so just be aware.

Stay in the drive through lane an extra ten seconds after they give you your order to check your bag. The people behind you will have to wait. Most likely they've messed up your order, neglected to give you a straw for your drink or ketchup that you've asked for, or give you a receipt. The employees seem generally unhappier at this location than other Wendy's.

A horror straight from the pit of hell. I used to go to this Wendy's all the time, because it was the closest one to my house. I loved Wendy's burgers. But I don't go to Wendy's any more. These idiots drove me away. The employees are ratchet. They are rude. They do not listen. They make you repeat yourself. They USUALLY get your order wrong. USUALLY. One of them interrupted to ask what I DIDN'T want on my order. I'm all for giving underprivileged kids a chance, but you don't have to hire the worst ones you can find. I can no longer stand having to get out of my car and yell at the manager, so I do not go to Wendy's. The food is normal Wendy's food, which means it's about like Five Guys, except the fries suck.

Horrible. I only go here because it's very close by, but I would rather drive 15 minutes anywhere else than order here. I am so tired of all the employees. They have the worst attitude and don't even get me started on how stingy they are with the sauces. They give you dirty looks and slam dunk those sauces into your hand if you ask for extra. And if you ask for "a lot" of BBQ sauce, they will only give you one and shoo you away. Horrible, horrible attitude. Even when they get your order wrong and ask nicely, they blame it on you and give you more attitude than ever necessary. I am so sick of this place. It needs to be re-staffed immediately. New manager and everything. I can't stand it anymore.

It's your typical Wendys at a busy location. US1 & Red Rd, right next to Sunset Place. Knowing they are on two major streets, they have a well organized drive thru and parking lot. I think they try to minimize their effect on the roads. (You know you have seen lines for drive thrus stacked up onto the roads before.) Their burgers taste the most like real burgers to me of the the big 3. (I just flat ass don't eat at BK.) And I really like all their side options.

To me, Wendy's is Wendy's. They're pretty standard almost everywhere. I personally love Wendy's because of the variety - everyone can find something they're looking for, and I can always be sure to have a healthy and not-so-healthy option available to me. This Wendy's is no different. The staff is (generally) friendly, the order is usually correct (I usually have a "special order" aka ketchup only, and the sandwich usually comes out right), and the line moves quickly. It gets particularly crowded during the lunch rush, and the drive thru can back up around the corner. Other than that, it's rather average, but usually meets my standards! Oh and word to the wise - don't try to park here and walk across the street to Sunset Place - they will tow you!

Dear Wendy, The image of your smiling, freckled face and bright red hair has brightened my day many times, especially around lunch time. I knew I could expect a hot, juicy and meaty burger, hot and fresh fries and a cold Coke. I miss your dad, Dave Thomas. Not only was he the down-to-earth company spokesman in the TV commercials, he was the brilliant mind that created your restaurant, and he was a genius with the innovations he brought to the fast-food business. When he left this earth to the great franchise in the sky, his business, named after you, started a slow descent. I am appealing to you, Wendy, to use your powers and find new top management. You need people who won't make bad decisions like changing the hamburger buns to something worse every year or so. The last one I had fell apart before I could even bite into it. Let's talk about the new fries...they're terrible! Yes, I get that they want people to know they were made with real potatoes with the skin left on, but...they're terrible! Fortunately, management has not been messing with the baked potatoes, the chili or the Frosty (trademark). And one more thing Wendy, local management. It is a make or break element for an individual outlet. The manager's commitment to detail, cleanliness, discipline, and delivery of high quality food is missing at this store, after having a stellar manager for many years. It shows. Wendy, put on your cape, dye your hair that bright red color, highlight your freckles, and get yourself to that boardroom right now to right this ship! I hope your family is doing well! Sincerely, Greg

Everything was great like the commercials say you know when it's real and this definitely was real there was service with a smile and a good attitude all around the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the decor was not good

This is the Wendy's at Red Road (57th Ave) and US 1. Now, I love Wendy's. It was my favorite fast food even before they revamped the menu, added the sandwiches, and before I discovered the chili was not only edible but delicious. Not knowing the area, I drove for a WHILE trying to find one. Finally I stumbled upon this location. First thing I did (because of the long drive) was head for a pit stop in the ladies room. The bathroom was pretty trashed and not the cleanest. Now normally when I go into a restaurant and the bathroom's not clean, I am out of there without ordering a thing, because I figure if you can't keep that part of the place that's open to the public clean, I don't even want to know what your kitchen looks like, let alone consume anything it has produced. But I was willing to let this place slide because, sadly, THAT'S how badly I wanted a Frosty! When I came out of the restroom, however, and noted that the floor in the restaurant area was just as dirty as the one in the ladies room, I was out of there like a shot, hungry and disappointed and a bit grossed out. The place really looked like no one had done a single thing to clean it all day. And I'm betting the kitchen was in the same state. I don't think this particular location was representative of all Wendy's and I certainly won't be giving up my visits. But I will not stop by this location again.

I sometimes find myself by UM starving and low on time. Solution? Spicy Chicken Sangwich pleeezzz! I popped in here zippily and parked in the plentiful lot. I guess I got to the register just as a shift change was going on because an employee was ordering in front of me. The girl taking her order was cutting up like they were at a damned slumber party and I waited for 6 minutes before even being acknowledged. The manager was also partaking in the shenanigans and it started to tick me off. Wendy's higher ups are desperate for some new gimmick and have turned the soda fountain into a giant lemonade stand. I didn't even know what to think! Ads were pasted all over the restaurant for the burger and sandwiches with new toasted and buttered buns; I didn't really care, just wanted my usually yummy spicy sandwich. Usually yummy. I was totally disappointed with the quality of the breast! It is usually thick and unarguably good white meat. This time? A grayish garbled something generously battered and fried. WTF?! I know, this is Wendy's, but it used to be good! So much for a decent fast food option. I guess next time I'll have to go with the salad and chili...le sigh.
